Once you’ve found the products you want, either using our Music Search System or browsing our New Releases, add them to your Virtual Shopping Cart by pressing the “Buy” button next to each release.
When you’ve found everything you want to buy for the day, click on the “Shopping Cart” link on the upper-right hand corner of your screen. This will take you to a summary of all the items you’ve decided to purchase so far. Here you can make your final decisions on what you’re buying. Be sure to remove any accidental choices before you move on. When you’re ready, click on the “U.S. Customers Only!- Checkout” link if you are ordering from the United States, or the “Non-U.S. Customers Here!- Non-US Checkout” if you are ordering from outside the United States.
At the top of the order you will find a summary of the items you have ordered, as well as shipping charges and a final total. Review this, and if you are satisfied, fill out the rest of the form with your address and credit card information and click the “Continue” button at the bottom of the screen.
The next screen will present you with your address and payment information. Read it all carefully to confirm that it is correct. If not, click the “Back” button on your browser to correct the information. If everything looks right, click the “Send” button at the bottom of the screen to submit your final order.
Now your order is placed! Diligent Reckless Records employees will be running about their stores shortly, gathering up your choices to ship to your home. Ah! The wonders of the Modern Age!
Vinyl Grading System:
MINT – Album & cover are as new, no marks of any kind.
NEAR MINT – Album & cover appear almost new, may have slight marks or
blemishes in vinyl, but should sound perfect (no surface noise).
VERY GOOD – Album & cover have marks, but should play well (slight
GOOD – Album & cover have lots of marks, record may have ‘pops’ &
‘clicks’ but should play through without skipping.
FAIR – Album & / or cover are in very poor condition, record may skip.
Currently our website Inventory Database is updated every 24 hours to align
itself with our actual store inventory. This makes it possible for items
that you order online (particularly used items of limited quantity) to
already have been sold when you place your order. This is not something
that occurs often, but if it does we’ll send you an email notification right
away to let you know. We’ll be increasing the frequency of these updates,
thereby decreasing the likelihood of these kinds of problems, as we get the
site more and more off the ground. Of course, we appreciate your patience
in these matters.
If a search term has 3 or less characters, it will only be matched against the beginning of a title, artist, or label name. For example – searching for ‘bea’ will find ‘beatles’ and ‘beat happening’ but NOT ‘teenbeat’.
Right now we accept only credit card payments through our shopping cart
interface. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
For online orders we accept all returns for Defective Products.
If any of your items are damaged or defective when they arrive at your door,
simply send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Include in your message the
Item Title, Artist Name, Order Number and the Problem with the Product within
30 days of your receipt of the order with the Subject line: “Defective Product:
Order #X” where “X” is the number of your order (found on your order Invoice).
We can then arrange for replacement of the product or, if unavailable, a
Store Credit refund for the value of the product.
Like any other company on the Net, keeping your information private and secure is one of our utmost concerns.
For all credit card transactions and otherwise, we protect the security of your information with Secure Sockets
Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you send us before transmission.
And, of course, we don’t sell or in any other way release your personal information to others. Your business

Shipping & handling rates are determined by the number of items you buy and where you are ordering from.
Orders from inside the United States are shipped USPS Priority or USPS Media Mail.
1-3 items: $12
4-6 items: $18
7-10 items: $24
$1 additional per item over 10
USPS Media Mail:
First item: $4
2-5 items, $1 additional per item ($8 max)
6-10 items, $8 plus $.75 each additional item over 5 ($11.75 max)
More than 10 items, $11.75 plus $.50 per item over 10
Shipping to the rest of the world will be sent via Air Mail.
Shipping charges will be exact USPS Airmail charges plus $2. This will be calculated once we process your order.
Please consult the USPS International Rate Calculator for a better idea of the charges. LPs are
approximately 1lb, 180gram vinyl is more like 1.35lbs. CDs are closer to 1/3 of a pound.
